The label Built a professional recording studio from scratch, Hosted their own Tuesday Night Talent Show, Proformed at a host of venues and sold 3000 copies of their first Lp. This Arsenal would go on to help the two record their first Lp " The Drank, The Bomb, The Studio"(1999). With most of the artist being family or close friends, they named the label Famlee Funk Records. The pair then recruited a team of highly talented lyricist. The two where both born in the Mid Western city of Milwaukee, raised in the San Francisco Bay Area (San Francisco and Vallejo) and then returned to Milwaukee to persue their Music careers. It's a blend of R&B soul and Realistic Hip-Hop Flows we call Funk-soul.įamlee Funk the label was started by 2 cousins, Jevon "J-Mon-e" Hunt and Trea "Goldie Macc" Shaw. Gordita is a collaboration with Ren‚ P‚rez, frontman and contentious lyricist from Calle 13. Shakira teamed up with El Cata, a famous Dominical reggaeton artist for the tracks Rabiosa and Loca con el Tigre, adding an urban edge (twist) to these up-tempo dance tracks. Shakira dedicated this song to her close friend Gustavo Cerati during the Rock in Rio show in Madrid in June, 2010. The title track, Sale el Sol was co-written with her friend and collaborator, Luis Fernando Ochoa.
